My name is Megan McCrary. Professionally, I'm known as M.N McCrary for ambiguity's sake, but everyone who knows me just calls me Meg. I'm a 21 year old CTVR student at Saddleback College with hopes of obtaining an undergraduate from a film school.
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been thinking of ideas for stories and characters, as well as exactly how I'd execute them onto a big screen. When I entered my early teens, I locked in my dream of becoming a writer/director for independent films in order for my ideas to come to life.
In regards to my stories, I take strong interest in certain genres; notably: neo-noir, speculative sci-fi, analog horror, black comedy, and historical fiction from modern history (1950's to the 2000's)... just to name my favorites. If I had to name a few specific things that really stand out about my creations, I would say my unique story concepts, three-dimensional characters, and my feminine, avant garde directing style.
Aside from filmmaking/storytelling, I also have a deep love for unique/alternative fashion, ALL kinds of music (but especially rock), political activism, and MUCH more! On my free time, I love thrifting/antiquing with my best friends and doing random DIY projects.
